Tarny Perkins is an Entrepreneur with a powerful blend of sales and marketing expertise.  Mr. Perkins has a unique ability to interface with technology and sales teams.  Tarny has proven skills in developing new markets and creating demand. Mr. Perkins was successful in conceptualizing and then leading a team to build pldtonline.com, the first online e-commerce gateway into the Philippines that allowed Filipinos living outside of the Philippines to pay for goods and services as well as send money, to their friends and relatives in the Philippines. At the same time Mr. Perkins was the CEO of Wherewithal, a Community Driven Search Engine where he led fundraising efforts, sales and marketing efforts.  At Wherewithal, Mr. Perkins was successful at attracting a stellar Board, created a solid revenue pipeline and successfully integrated Wherewithal at Kaiser Permanente in the San Francisco Bay Area. Prior to Wherewithal, Tarny was the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at seeUthere.com. At seeUthere Mr. Perkins helped build the company into the premier corporate event portal on the Internet.  Mr. Perkins initiated the partnership that allowed MP3.com to invest in seeUthere and also built the partnership with PlanSoft that led to the eventual merger between seeUthere and PlanSoft (OnVantage). Prior to this, Mr. Perkins spent twelve years in Asia, initially moving to Hong Kong with Tandem Computers as the Director of South Asia in charge of Hong Kong, China and the Philippines. Tarny was the Vice President of Content for Asia Online in Hong Kong.  At Asia Online, he led a content channel marketing team that accumulated the largest amount of Asian content (English and Chinese) on the Internet at the time.  He negotiated contracts with all of the content providers, covering the US and Asia.  Mr. Perkins also opened the Asian Market for Summa Four, first setting up a rep office in Singapore and building a pipeline that made Asia Pacific the best performing arm of Summa.

Tarny was the founder of one of the first coffee bars in Asia.  Tarny grew the chain to 12 shops.  He teamed with the leading bookstores in the Philippines.  He was the first to introduce local (Filipino beans).  Tarny tied up with a local music company and was the first to offer listening stations within the Coffee Bars.  And he was the first to offer Internet Access. He also introduced one of the first online soap opera's, based on patrons of the coffee bar.  Finally, Tarny was the first to brand coffee for major companies in the Philippines including SUN Microsystems (PSPI) and the Shangri La Hotel. 

Tarny hosted the IT segment of Wakeup Call a lifestyle morning television segment in the Philippines. He enjoys surfing and tennis and he played on the Professional Tennis Tour.  He helped form the Surfing Association of the Philippines (SAPI). 

Tarny has lived in Hong Kong, Singapore and the Philippines and has traveled extensively throughout Asia. Tarny is an alumnus of the University of California at Berkeley.
